Seasons and Change
Sometimes the hardest transitions happen mid-season.
Spring
A time of new beginnings.
Just Before…
Change
The past few days have been spent in a whirlwind of activity. Leah and I are headed out for an extended trip.
The garden seedlings were started a few weeks ago…
Day One
We have arrived. And our luggage - which is no short of a miracle after a fifty minute layover in Sweden.
Jet lag is one thing. Exhaustion, though, seems to be another.
Day Two
Just a few days ago, we dared to peek at the weather forecast for our time here and it called for solid rain - everyday.
Yesterday’s weather, however, was stunningly clear and beautiful. I think it does the heart good to celebrate the smallest of miracles and gifts. If nothing else, it adds wonder and mystery to an otherwise simple day.
Day Three
The lambs have arrived! Anyone living here would call me crackers for making such a fuss… but I cannot seem to help myself. They are simply adorable!
Day Four
Another glorious morning walk amongst the daffodils and luscious green grass…
Mid-morning, we planned what was meant to be a small walking excursion not far away in the Dalby Forest.
Day Five
Time to say goodbye… goodbye to the picturesque little village of Sinnington, with all its charm and beauty.
Goodbye, to my beloved aunt and her dear pups.
Day Six
Last day in the UK… tomorrow we head out to completely unchartered territories for each of us.
Geneva, Switzerland and the French Alps…
Day Seven
An early morning flight out of Leeds landed us in Geneva just about noon - local time.
After situating ourselves in a hotel near the airport, we set off to explore downtown and the old city area.
Just like so many European cities…
Day Eight
With a bit of understandable trepidation, we left the car park and headed for Annecy, France just south of Geneva.
Immediately, we got turned around (not lost) and quickly rightened ourselves. We had to laugh because there was no turning back.
Day Nine
Resurrection Sunday
If I tried to put into words the experiences we’ve had today - I could only scratch the surface and barely do it justice.
Day Ten
After an early morning start out of Geneva, we arrived in Lyon right before noon. Such an amazing city! We got our rental car from the train station and set off through Lyon on our way to Avignon, 200km south.
