The Wandering of Quiet Praise

The Wandering of Quiet Praise

And He led the Israelites through the desert
A pillar of cloud by day…
A pillar of fire by night…

Wandering and weaving
A twelve day journey evolving into
Forty long years…

Forty long years - the faithfulness of God
Led the beloved people
By a pillar through the wilderness…

The slave was set free -
the moment they stepped foot
on the opposite side of the Red Sea…

But God was vested in making His people -
Mature and complete
Not lacking anything…

So, the pillar of God led them
Through the wilderness
TO GET THE SLAVERY
OUT OF THE REDEEMED.

And one day…

It was silent obedience
Six days of silent marching
Around the walls of mighty Jericho…

To find themselves - on the seventh day
Marching with fierce joy
Fierce praise
Fierce worship

Free!

And the walls of Jericho
Came crashing down…

The pillar
The slave
The wilderness
The praise…

“Oh, God…
Be our guide
Be our Redeemer

We bow low -
In Quiet Praise”
