The First Rung of Grace

The First Rung of GRACE -

No matter how far up we climb …
There’s always that first rung to conquer.

And that first rung is only about GRACE.

For once we were dead - fully dead -
Not partially
Not somewhat
Not hanging on by a thread.
We were dead.

And GOD called…
And breathed LIFE into our lungs.

And we were made NEW.

Not by any measure of performance or work -

But by GRACE…

And from that moment on…
We live to serve the One who gave us LIFE.

One rung at a time…

Living
Serving
Breathing

Learning
Growing
Forgiving

Honoring
Obeying
Submitting

A life poured out
as we journey through this earth,
which is not - our final home.

Always remembering
NEVER FORGETTING
how it came to be -

He reached for us first.

And made us new -
By the first rung of GRACE.
