It’s Going to be Ok…

During the last year of her life, my mom would often say, “We’re going to get through this. It will be ok…”

She generally spoke those words after looking up and seeing me a bit more frazzled than normal… Or teary-eyed and generally overwhelmed in the moment.

She would take my hand, even while she suffered and didn’t have any real solutions to our momentary dilemmas - and she would remind me to look higher.

To fix my eyes, not just on the present circumstances, not just on the pain, not just on what I could tangibly see right in front of me…

But on Heaven

And our Beloved Creator
The Author and
The Finisher of our faith…

Hebrews 12
“Because of the joy awaiting him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame.

Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Think of all the hostility He endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.”

So -

For whatever you’re facing today, dear friends… “It’s going to be ok…”

I can’t promise you when or how - or even on this side of Heaven…

But God never forgets the world He loves… That’s why He sent His very own Son to rescue us.
